Manufacture / Remanufacture

Remanufacturing is the legal change of the type of the firearm. In our home state of New Jersey this is most commonly used to turn a pistol-style carbine firearm into either a non-NFA Other Firearm or an Any Other Weapon (AOW). A non-NFA firearm can transfer on a 4473 with a NICS check at any licensed dealer in NJ. AOW’s can only be transferred on an ATF Form 4, at a Class 3 SOT Dealer. Remanufacturing rates include the installation (labor) of parts and the re-classification of your firearm.

  • Remanufacture: $250

  • Remanufacture with Pin and Weld: $300

  • Firearm Complete Assembly: $300 (+$50 for pin and weld)

For an eform AOW submission, these are the prerequisites:

  • Electronic fingerprints (.EFT File): printscan.com  (ATF eForms, no special code) - many UPS Stores have the kiosk

  • Set up an Eforms account: eforms.atf.gov

  • Digital photo of yourself (passport style)

  • Pin Stock: $50

  • NFA Laser Engraving: $50

  • Image engraving: $100

  • Faulty Firearm inspection and repair: $150/hour
